A multimodality prediction score for Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The development of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) has been widely studied from several data perspectives. Both environmental and dietary factors have been shown to have an influence on the development of IBD. In addition, over 200 genetic loci have been associated to inflammatory bowel disease, which lay the foundation for polygenetic risk scores for its prediction. Lastly, an imbalance of the gut microbiome has been observed in patients with IBD. We aim to study the cumulative predictive power of these known risk factors for IBD in the general population.
