Constructing risk prediction models of non-communicable diseases based on multiple risk factors
This project aims to clarify key risk factors of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and construct prediction models based on various risk factors to identify high risk populations of NCDs. Polygenic risk scores (PRS) and lifestyle risk score (LRS) (including environmental risk factors) will be integrated to predict the incident risk of interested disease. Besides, disease burden and medication effects related scientific questions will also be answered during this process. Therefore, this project plans to collect multidimensional data from Lifelines and is expected to be completed in 36 months. we believe the results of this project will effectively improve the overall healthy life expectancy and avoid unnecessary medical costs of patients with major NCDs.
