Geographical distribution of microbial metagenomes

The DMP data will be utilized to evaluate the global presence of microbes in combination with other metagenomic sequencing datasets. Methodology includes mapping of metagenome assembled genomes (MAGs) with Meren Lab’s anvi’o (https://anvio.org/). Global detection of metagenomic reads to MAGs will be evaluated. These results will enhance our understanding of global microbial distribution. Our timeline is to complete this analysis within the next 6 months and publication in next 18 months.
