Real-World Assessments of Repurposed Drugs and COVID-19 Vaccination for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19: A PharmLines Initiative Study
As new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus emerge, societies around the world are striving to protect public health. First, we are studying how existing drugs can prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection and reduce the severity of the COVID-19 disease, taking into account various factors such as age and health status. Second, we are looking at how well different COVID-19 vaccines work in the real world, taking into account the number of doses, type of vaccine, and new virus variants. By looking at both drugs and vaccines, we hope to come up with better plans for dealing with COVID-19 in the future.
