The team led by Professor Ruixin Zhu is committed to bioinformatics-driven (data-driven) metagenomics-related research, especially good at the development of metagenomics-related algorithms and the analysis of interactions between microorganisms and hosts or the environment. Our team has already published a few research about the gut microbiome of inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. Therefore, we understand the principles of the relation between the pathogenesis of IBD and the gut microbiome, as well as the processes and methods of disease research. And we can use xMarkerFinder of our previous study, which is a four-stage workflow for microbiome research including differential signature identification, model construction, model validation, and biomarker interpretation. At the same time, we can use R, KneadData, Kraken, and other softwares for data analysis and modeling.
